Contour lines
from command
line: sngDMTC
toolbar:
Creates contour lines or smoothed surface in sketch from
TIN.
The following prompts are
displayed:
Select triangle
mesh: select
object <TrojSit>, generated function
Triangle mesh.
Contour interval:
sets the rendering of main contours in default units.
Highlighted draw
in interval:determines
which one in order will be drawn highlighted.
Draw half-interval contour lines:
these support contours are drawn as dashed lines.
Limit deviation of contours:created
curve of contour that can contain thousands of vertexes is
simplified by Douglas-Peucker algorithm.
Draw in extent of:draws
contours only in set height range.
Convert to Bezier patches: Yes,basic
TIN is discontinuous with broken edges. It is necessary to
smooth out this surface, for the generation of contours. In
this program, an algorithm with quadratic interpolation of normals
and patching of continuation C1 is used.
Degree
of smoothingdefines
the partition of triangles into smaller (processed, smoothed)
according to their side. Bigger number means smoother surface and
more difficult and longer calculation.
Convert to Bezier patches: No, contours are interpolated
linearly. Choose Contours with spline interpolation
converts polylines to NURBS curves. There are
the following limitations: the contours preview is without
smoothing / coloring contours is also created without
smoothing / while editing the TIN, all contours are
recalculated.
Note 1: Not even the best triangulation or
algorithm is guaranteed to produce 100% accurate contours. Thus it
is advised not to rely on contours created this
way.
Note 2: Generation of contours is inappropriate in
areas with overlapping triangles (such as overhangs, bridges,
tunnels...)
