WMS

WMS

from command line: sngDMTWMS
toolbar:

The function enables the user to connect maps from WMS server as a raster reference.

If CRS/EPSG code of your coordinates system has not been entered yet, the following dialogue will appear.

Transformation server WCTS/WPS- starts transformation of raster coordinates in case your EPSG code is not on the list of EPSG codes returned by WMS service (your most recent coordinate system is not supported by WMS service).
URL of the server must contain
request GetCapabilities&service=wcts (or wps).
Pre-defined servers are suitable only for specific countries defined by the domain of URL.
I do not have much experience with transformations between different versions WMS and WPS. If the raster is placed incorrectly, send me an e-mail stating all the needed information.

Choice of requested service (list of available services is read from GeoWin.gwms file placed in user folder)

Editing of the list - adds or deltes WMS service

If you add new service, the address will be verified. URL is entered without request.

Settings of request for WMS server

CRS Parameter is a coordinates system of data returned by WMS server. If CRS is different than your most recent, a conversion will be done by the WMS transformation service.

Depiction OrtoFoto of raster and display of dialogue for manipulation.

Manager WMS
Saves the current raster image to a file.
Attaches a raster image from disk as an external reference. Location coordinates are obtained from the world file (georefence) or from a Trimble RealWorks file. A separate command is sngDMTInsertRaster.
WMS services - display dialogue for choosing of service
Update window - edits drawing of raster base in the most recent view (loads again raster from server)
Disconnect WMS - ends depicting of raster and WMS
Update automatically - in ON state raster drawing is edited automatically when changing the view (e.g. ZOOM)
Resolution - determines resolution of raster, the highest quality is the same as resolution of the screen
Transparency - sets transparency of raster according to objects of drawing
Place in the background - places raster in the background (see picture)
Transparent - if raster contains a transparent layer, it will not be displayed

Resolution of raster
The request for the resolution of raster is sent to the server according to the resolution of the screen. The raster will have the same resolution in detail on the display or as a whole. The maximum resolution is given by WMS service. If the resolution of the display/screen is better than WMS, the raster will be displayed in tiles.

Restrictions:
In GstarCAD, until the 2021 version, "Update" functions by zooming with the mouse scroll wheel limitedly. It is because of the error in API GstarCAD. Tracking messages sent by mouse also cannot be used. GstarCAD does not refresh some variables in real time.

Note: User folder is c:\users\public\documents\GeoWin
